Spherical liposomes are light activated for CRISPR gene therapy
Because liposomes are considered safer than viral vectors for gene delivery, researchers at the University of New South Wales in Sydney have shown how that might work in placing CRISPER editing molecules in the right location and time. They found that light sources, LED and x-ray, can trigger the liposomes to release their cargo. MORE
