MXenes are a class of inorganic compounds, only a few atoms thick, which are used in electronic devices. Engineers at Texas A & M have turned this sheet product into a liquid coating which can be built up, layer by layer, into a stretchable and bendable material that might be used in making artificial skin and various medical wearables.
