“Healthspot” Convenience Medical Kiosks
April 2, 2013 | Terry Sharrer
Convenience kiosks could be the next leap for telemedicine. If so, they would be located in places where people congregate—grocery stores, large businesses, military bases, nursing homes, farmer cooperatives, et al—and outfitted with two way video screens and as few as seven digital instruments (pulse ox, BP cuff, thermometer, otoscope, dermascope, stethoscope and scale). HealthSpot (Dublin, OH, near Columbus) has created such a package and this piece shows both floor plans and a video of how the kiosk can work. MORE
