Using RNA microarrays, researchers at the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (Barcelona, Spain) identified 85 gene expressions associated with low fertility (in physiologically normal sperm), and then narrowed the key identifiers to just four genes for an assay.  This work thus identifies a molecular basis for male fertility, which previously has been based on sperm physiology.  MORE
