“The next 25 years are going to be about restructuring radiology and surgical processes, restructuring the whole healthcare approach of clinicians, and integrating new technologies,” according to mHealth authority Peter Waegemann. The heart of this change in his view is a move to small, low-cost mobile phones and internet systems. And, a consequence patients will have a much more active role in their care, as in handling their own registration and check-in, reporting symptoms and monitoring their own health. Waegemann explains the broad and specific implications of this transformation along with its obstacles. MORE
