What is the world’s largest wireless carrier? Perhaps not surprisingly, it is China Mobile. But it may come as a surprise that a billion cell phones were sold in 2007 alone, and applications, growing by the hundreds, are transforming the way people do business much as the personal computer did a generation ago. Automated language translation already exists for texting, and may soon extend to voice messaging-cutting in to the significant costs healthcare providers have for translation services.
