A Smart Walking Cane

This piece is both a commercial advertisement and an appeal for funding, but the product and projections for its development are quite interesting. “Isowalk” is a smart cane that features self propulsion and shock relief. With wireless connectivity, it serves to monitor performance (e.g. physical rehabilitation, exercise adherence) and location. The maker anticipates creating specialized versions for various conditions (e.g. athletic injury, diabetic foot, artificial limbs and joints, et al). MORE
