A researcher at Boston University has printed single strands of DNA onto a specially treated paper substrate. If the paper strip is worn on, say, a health worker’s isolation clothing and it encounters a single strand RNA of Ebola (or similar virus), the paper changes color in about an hour. These diagnostic strips might cost as little as 4 cents. MORE
