Hologram
Scientists at Cambridge University have invented a new kind of diagnostic device. They embedded silver nanoparticles in hydrogel. When a chemical is exposed to the hydrogel, which in turn is excited by a laser’s energy, the hydrogel either expands or contracts and changes the laser’s spectrum in a holograph. As color profiles for different diseases or toxins, etc, are determined, diagnosis becomes a matter of matching colors. MORE
