The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have created a state by state guide to genetics and genomics, including newborn screening, genetic counseling, Comprehensive Cancer Programs, and legislative developments.  While this map is handy, what it really shows is how little is being done at the state level to harness the power of molecular medicine for health improvement.  MORE
