Robotic Glove for Detecting Breast Lumps

Engineers in Boston have designed a robotic sensor glove, called “Med Sensation,” that detects vibration, sound and temperature, includes an accelerometer, and has an alarm to indicate the right pressure level. If and when it is commercialized, it could be used to train medical providers or, more interestingly, to train patients how to assess their own breast lumps, enlarged lymph nodes or swollen liver.
