Smart Underwear

Wearable health monitors were a big feature at the last Consumer Electronics Show and new & improved models surely will be coming. An engineering collaboration at the University of Arkansas has come up with smart underwear—i.e. a dime-sized sensoring device, made of gold nanowires, that fits into a sports bra or T-shirt. If its true as reported that this device by itself can monitor blood pressure (in addition to several other vital signs), it would be remarkable indeed. MORE
