Telemed Management Better than Office Visits in Several Instances

At the American College of Cardiology’s annual meeting earlier this year, a study was presented showing that internet-based systems were more effective than office visits in managing patients with hypertension. Because electronic means allowed for more frequent reporting, patients followed their medication regime more strictly and reported changes in their blood pressure. Feedback helped reduce their risk for adverse events. MORE
