Automating Synthetic Bone-Making process

Fabricating artificial bone is a process that resembles candle-making—by repeated dippings. To offset this labor-intensive task, engineers at Cambridge University built a robot, from Lego kits, to move between beakers of calcium and protein, rinse water, and phosphate and protein.
