“We’re going to see things no one has ever seen before. Just think about it,” exclaimed “Cora Peterson” (Raquel Welch) in “Fantastic Voyage” (1966). Stanford electrical engineers now bring that idea a bit closer to nonfiction with a wireless implantable device that can move under control through the bloodstream. While this might be able to deliver drugs or remove clots, it’s easier to imagine not being able to retrieve the device or having it cause clots. See the video with this piece. MORE
