Sprint Enters Mobile Health
March 27, 2012 | Terry Sharrer
Like Verizon and AT&T, Sprint is moving into the healthcare space with its partner, Toronto-based Ideal Life, a maker of wireless monitoring and communications devices. Among Ideal Life’s products at present are wireless glucose, blood pressure and pulse oximetry meters, with a respiratory peak flow meter, pedometer, and chair scale in development. It also makes a kiosk that can be placed anywhere enough subscribers might want to track their health data and receive feedback—places such as gyms, community centers, libraries, schools, offices, et al. Sprint’s customer base in the US is 312 million. MORE
