Inventing the Pocket ECG

There are inventors, doctors and entrepreneurs, and occasionally, all three are in one body—such as David Albert, MD, a cardiologist who formerly worked for General Electric, but then set out on his own to develop a pocket ECG, in which GE had no interest. This piece is his story—about how he fitted an ECG bracket to an Apple iPhone 4 and used an ECG app to collect the data.
