Looking for Cancer with a Flashlight

It is a flashlight of sorts, but a more accurate description is an endoscope that emits short bursts of light which illuminate the irregular nuclei of cancerous and precancerous cells in the G. I. tract. It is far less invasive than taking a biopsy and does not require contrasting dye for imaging. Duke University researchers who developed this device say that it has 85% accuracy. MORE
