Many hospitals prefer innovations that derive from their own experience, and the ones that actually promote this do the business development incubation to turn ideas into realities. Cleveland Clinic, long recognized as an innovation leader, has created a governance committee, from physicians, nurses, IT managers and others, to explore application development for mobile devices. As good ideas surface and are tested, Cleveland Clinic will fund the commercialization. Several apps now in the pipeline support efforts of the Clinic’s Wellness Institute. MORE
