FDA Medical Device Workshop at UVA
On September 26, the University of Virginia will host a very special event with the FDA. The Center for Device and Radiological Health (CDRH) is participating in a one-day workshop on medical device innovation, regulation, device education, and translational research. The major objective of this effort from FDA is to enhance the US regulatory process by collaborating proactively with US research universities and companies. This workshop is ideal for researchers, entrepreneurs, technology transfer offices, and students. Two clinical areas on regulation of cancer diagnostics (in vitro and in vivo) and cardiovascular device regulation will be covered in detail.
