Surviving cancer can have adverse effects-e.g. cardiovascular complications, obesity, diabetes, osteopenia and osteoporosis, et al. For those reasons, cancer survivors have a much higher risk of death than the general public. While it’s unclear, though possible, that specific cancers require specific nutritional therapies, the American Dietetic Association suggests evidence-based nutritional guidelines benefit cancer care, cancer recurrence prevention, and quality of life issues.
