Two New CPR Devices for Heart Failure
February 8, 2011 | Terry Sharrer
ResQPOD and ResQPump are two new devices now being tested that have shown much improved results for CPR on hearth failure patients. ResQPOD is a one-way valve that fits a ventilation tube and blocks air from moving into the lungs during a decompression phase. ResQPUMP is a suction device that adheres to the chest, physically amplifying both compression and decompression. Because these tools allow more blood to reach the brain, a patient can regain consciousness even without a heart beat. MORE
