Tumor Electrode to Deliver Drug

A research group at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill recently presented their technology for delivering anticancer drugs directly to a pancreatic tumor.  The method involves implanting a drug-dispensing reservoir with an electrode at the tumor site, and pinning a second contact outside the body.  An electrical field, when generated, then releases the drug.  MORE
