Automated Eye Scan for Diabetes-Related Lesions
June 29, 2010 | Terry Sharrer
University of Iowa researchers have tested two computerized image analyzer programs and found both comparable for accuracy to expert ophthalmologists in determining eye problems among diabetic patients. With 23 million Americans suffering from diabetes, this scanning technique could be an effective step in preventing diabetes-related blindness. MORE
