With the World Health Organization (WHO) projecting that, by 2015, 2.3 billion adults will be overweight, and among them 700 million obese, worldwide, it’s little wonder that venture capital is looking to get into this expanding market. Many startups are working to develop peptide hormones that influence appetite, energy and gastrointestinal function.
