The Glowing Marmoset

Tricky ethical issues aside, Japanese researchers have created a transgenic marmoset, with a green fluorescent gene expression from jellyfish, which passes that characteristic to its offspring. This raises the possibility of creating primates for research with human disease genes, such as those of Huntington’s, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and ALS.
