Framingham Samples Available

Since 1948, the Framingham Heart Study, a project of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of NIH, has been collecting blood samples from the 5,209 original participant cohort, as well as from their children and grandchildren, aiming to reveal the risk factors of cardiovascular disease. Now, the FHS is opening its vast tissue repository for Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, which can include private, for-profit companies. MORE
