Nanopiezo Implanted Devices?

Georgia Tech materials scientist Zhong Lin Wang is researching the possibility that the turbulence of blood flowing through an implanted medical device might create enough “mechanical” stress on zinc oxide nanowires to generate enough electrical charge to power the device.
