Snakebot

Engineering a robotic arm that has snakelike flexibility is no small matter, but that’s what Professor Howie Choset, at Carnegie Mellon University, has done.  His engineering team developed both the hardware and software to take this idea from painting automobile bodies to carrying out delicate surgical techniques.       MORE  and see a demonstration of  the robotic arm.
