Saso Dzeroski, a researcher at the Jozef Stefan Institute’s Department of Knowledge Technologies (Ljubljana, Slovenia) has developed the artificial intelligence and data mining software that enables a pharmaceutical robot named Eve to originate experiments, perform them, interpret the results, and move on to the next “logical” step in, say, a parallel synthesis array.  Soon, Eve will be installed at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth for her trial runs.     MORE
