Researchers at Leeds University in Britain have developed a rapid assay for prostate and ovarian cancer, heart disease and stroke, multiple sclerosis and certain infections, based on an antibody screen for relevant biomarkers. This approach gives results in as little as fifteen minutes, compared to hours for traditional methods, and could allow testing to be done during a patient’s visit to the doctor’s office. MORE
