Regenerative Medicine: Stem Cells from Baby Teeth

In another advance for stem cell therapy, dental scientists have extracted human deciduous pulp stem cells from “baby teeth” (deciduous teeth), expanded them in the lab, and then implanted them in permanent teeth that were “dead” (from trauma). This restored healthy root development and thickening dentin. This process only works in children who still have baby teeth. MORE
