Pancreatic Stem Cells to Regenerate Insulin Function

Researchers at the University of Miami’s Diabetes Research Institute have confirmed the location of pancreatic stem cells which can become insulin producing beta cells. Those stem cells are found in the pancreatic ductal and glandular network tissues, raising the possibility of regenerative transplants for Type 1 diabetes. MORE
