When Case Western Reserve University opens its new medical education campus in 2018, med students won’t have a cadaver lab to master anatomy. Instead, they will use a Microsoft HoloLens headset to examine the body in augmented reality. The system creates a 3-D representation of a human body which can be navigated through layers of skin, muscle, blood vessels, nerves and bone. This is one of many innovative approaches Case has applied in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic. MORE
