Oral surgery sometimes requires implantation of foreign material (e.g. cow bone) to rebuild a jaw. Dentistry researchers at the University of Michigan, however, have created tiny polymer spheres containing microRNAs that stimulate the patient’s own cells to regenerate bone tissue.
