Nanosheet Burn Dressing
The body is covered with bacterial species that can cause infections following a burn. Even the best burn dressings are vulnerable when they cover irregular areas, but materials scientists at Japan’s Tokai University (Tokyo) have invented a “cling wrap” that covers irregular surfaces. It is a sheet of poly (L-lactic) acid nanoparticles and it guarantees protection against skin infections for three days. MORE
