You may not agree with Becker’s list of the ten biggest technological advances for healthcare in the last decade, but here’s the list: electronic health records, mHealth, telemedicine, portal technology, self-service kiosks, remote monitoring tools, wearable sensors, wireless communications, real time location, and pharamacogenomics/genome sequencing. Perhaps, though, gene therapy, stem cell regenerative medicine, 3-D tissue printing, robotics, artificial intelligence/bioinformatics, smart prosthetics, several nanotechnologies, microfluidics, holographic diagnostics, and biomarker discovery will make the cut for this decade.
