Edible Biosensor, Update

Following last year’s FDA approval of Proteus Digital Health’s edible biosensor for monitoring medication adherence, scientists at Carnegie Mellon University have created a similar device that relies on a sodium ion battery to power wireless communications. This could be used to deliver drugs to precise locations or to support other biosensing devices in the gastro-intestinal tract. MORE
