A combination of the daVinci surgical robot and an indocyanine green dye injected tracer allows kidney surgeons at Georgetown University Hospital to see the vascularization that differentiates a malignant tumor from normal tissue.  The tracer, called “Firefly,” thus gives the minimally invasive surgery a greater likelihood of success.    MORE
