The Swiss Army Knife of Distance Monitoring

Isansys Lifescan Limited (Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK) has begun marketing its “Patient Status Engine” in the European Union. Its system includes a wearable body sensor that “continuously, wirelessly and in real time” monitors heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, pulse oximetry and temperature, and relying on cloud connectivity sends that data to a receiver which both records the values (for later quality analysis) and sends warnings if an adverse event is predicted. Other devices, such as an accelerometer, weight scale, and glucose monitor can be added as needed. This seems to be the Swiss Army knife of distance monitoring. Fujitsu planned the network architecture. MORE
