Wireless Fetal Monitor

Earlier this year, the West Wireless Health Institute (San Diego, CA) began a two phase field test in rural Yucatan, Mexico (supported by the Carlos Slim Health Institute) of its experimental “Sense4Baby,” a wireless fetal monitor,  The device tracks maternal and fetal blood pressures, fetal heart rate, glucose levels, and protein in urine.  Testing will be done first in ten clinics, and then in the mothers’ homes.  MORE
