Stem Cell-Derived Pituitary Gland

This is one of those things that is almost inconceivable until it happens: scientists at Japan’s RIKEN Center for Developmental Biology have used stem cells to synthesize a pituitary-an endocrine gland located in the base of the brain that produces nine hormones, including human growth hormone, oxytocin, and antidiuretic hormone.
