A rap against consumer genomics has been the lack of interpreting authority-e.g. what does a 30% increase in risk for, say, breast cancer actually mean.  Genomic Health (Redwood City, CA) is helping meet that need in partnership with the “Fight Colorectal Cancer” organization.  They have created an online tool called “My Colon Cancer Coach” that takes patients through a questionnaire, with audio explanations, so they can have informed conversations with their physicians about the course of disease and personalized treatment.  It’s unclear from this announcement whether the coaching requires Genomic Health’s genomics products.  MORE
