Autologous Platelet Concentrator

Heart, joint, and dental surgeries often involved substantial blood loss, which calls for transfusion. To lessen the need for blood from another person, Circle Biologics (Minneapolis)has developed and recently received FDA 510k premarketing notification (i.e. substantially equivalent in safety and effectiveness to other lawfully marketed devices) for an autologous (patient derived) cell and protein concentrator in a point-of-care device. The two chambered, closed system design performs the two-step concentrations with less risk of contamination, compared to using two separate devices. MORE
