Cellular Dynamics International (Madison, WI) has begun shipping commercial induced-pluripotent stem cells called “iCell cadiomyocytes” which apparently are being used to test heart drug response for individualized medicines. James Thomson, a stem cell pioneer of the University of Wisconsin, a stem cell pioneer who developed the science is co-founder of CDI.
