ATS Medical, Inc. (Minneapolis, MN) recently announced that its highly pliable aortic valve replacement had been used with the daVinci surgical robot in a minimally invasive heart valve procedure-a world’s first for this kind of procedure.  ATS’s device has no rigid supporting stent which allows the daVinci robot to compress it.  Heart surgeon Dr. Allen Raczkowski, at the Banner Health Baywood Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, performed the surgery.   MORE
