The technology marketing research firm, Allied Business Intelligence, Inc. (Oyster Bay, NY) projects that the global market for WiFi enabled health products will reach $5 B by 2014, up by more than 70% over the 2009 level. Asset management, mobile workers, standard administration of drugs, and digitized records are the key drivers of this surge, now aided from stimulus spending on electronic medical records. ABI also points out that no one provider has yet integrated all WiFi applications into a single system. MORE
