Coming from the international Human Physiome Project, which began in 1997, the Virtual Physiological Human is an integrated computer program of the physical and biochemical functions of a living human.  Conceivably, this electronic model could provide an alternative to living patients in clinical trials-predicting such things as adverse drug effects before they kill people.  Immediately, though, this is a useful tool for training medical students.         MORE
