The Virtual Physiological Human

Coming from the international Human Physiome Project, which began in 1997, the Virtual Physiological Human is an integrated computer program of the physical and biochemical functions of a living human. Conceivably, this electronic model could provide an alternative to living patients in clinical trials-predicting such things as adverse drug effects before they kill people.
