MIT Obesity NanoParticle

In proof-of-concept work, researchers at MIT have shown that novel polymer nanoparticles, loaded with two known anti-obesity drugs, can be introduced intravenously to target adipose tissue. And, in so doing, they were able (in mice) to convert fat storing white fat to fat burning brown fat. The mice lost 10% of their body weight in a relatively short time without adverse effects.   MORE
