“Velcro” Chip Snags Circulating Tumor Cells
December 15, 2015 | Terry Sharrer
Researchers at the California NanoSystems Institute (Los Angeles) have developed a nanochip device for capturing circulating tumor cells in a blood sample. “Velcro”-like anticancer antibodies in a polymer nanofilter hold the tumor cells, which are ten extracted by laser capture microdissection for characterization.
